Brief Introduction: Lecturer at the Institute of Ancient Books, School of Archaeology, Jilin University. Dr. Li teaches “Unearthed Documents and Qin and Han Society”. She mainly explores the history of Qin and Han Dynasties, and bamboo slips studies, with focus on the new evidence provided by unearthed materials for historical research using unearthed documents and handed down documents to solve new/old problems. Dr. Li is interested in how the Qin and Han empires built new unified empires on the basis of multiple cultures, and how they built unities into the hearts of the people through system and cultural construction. She pays attention to regional research, especially the interaction between faith and society, and the multicultural sides of different classes embedded in the Chinese society. She emphasizes the unearthed documents and materials. In recent years, she especially studied Qin and Han bamboo slips and silks in an attempt to explain historical issues on the basis of a thorough understanding of the characters and texts on the bamboo slips and silks.
